Our brand new 580 resolution on-board camera is designed to be mounted to vehicles with the included hi-strength suction mount or any other mounting solutions utilizing the 1/4-20 threaded stud. It comes in a sturdy waterproof aluminum housing with protective lens cover. It features a vari-focal zoom lens that can be easily adjusted in the field for wide and narrow fields of view(4mm-9mm). What you get is an outstanding broadcast quality hi-resolution image in an extremely versatile and durable package. The waterproof housing, waterproof EZ-Connect cable, rechargeable battery pack, and included suction mount make this model perfect for capturing hands-free video inside or outside your vehicle. 580 Hi-Resolution Vari-Focal Zoom Lens
This onboard camera comes with the Sony Ex-View 1/3" CCD image device delivering an outstanding 580 lines of resolution. It has excellent low light capabilities and the electronic iris adjusts quickly to changing light conditions. It has a 4-9mm internal vari-focal zoom lens that makes it easy to get the desired field of view. And of course, it has a quick-disconnect waterproof connector for easy removal or adjustments. Not only does it have and industry leading 580 TV lines of resolution, it is the most advanced and user-friendly hands-free on-board camera available.
EZ-Connect Cable
The EZ-Connect cable design adds the ability to connect the onboard cam directly to compatible camcorders, MP4 recorder, Personal Video Players or DVRs. It incorporates small IP68 rated waterproof screw-tight connectors at strategic locations simplifying cable management. By simply adding an available extension cable in between the camera and recorder you can easily extend the length to accommodate most any application. It includes a tiny detachable microphone that can be routed away from the wind. The package comes standard with the 3 meter (9.8ft.) extension and other lengths are available. Our advanced design is just one more reason why a Sportzshot onboard vehicle cam is the right choice.

Suction Cup Mounting & More
The included suction mount will hold up to 3lbs securely on any flat, smooth or non-porous surface. Whether inside or outside your vehicle you can achieve most any angle ensuring your always going to get the angle you're after. This mount will safely secure your sport camera to any flat, smooth or non-porous surface. Suction mount base is 3.4" in diameter. Other mounting options are also available from us.
Rechargeable Battery Pack
The Sportzshot battery pack will power your onboard cam for over 8hrs at normal room temperature. It's lightweight and slim design allow it to stow away nicely next to the recorder. It connects directly into the cable and powers both the camera and mic simultaneously. You'll find most competitors only offer their premium battery pack for an additional charge. This comes standard with all our helmet cam packages.
Digital Video Recorder
Records high quality video directly to an SD memory card. There are no moving parts so it is not effected by vibrations. Small, lightweight and very easy to work with. Simply plug in the helmet cam, turn on, and press record. It's that easy! Using a 4gb SD card you can get over 2hrs of video. Video can be reviewed on the built-in screen or a TV. You can also connect it to a computer for editing and emailing.
That's not all! The DVR also has a built in lens and works as a standalone camcorder, an mp3 player, and can recorder directly from your TV.
